Answer: There are no additional risks identified, if the ulcer is not in the area of the inner ankle pad (which must be placed behind the inner ankle).

Answer: In such a case, you should consult your attending physician before using the active socks. Basically, the following applies: In the case of acute thrombosis, the socks may only be used after approx. 4 weeks. If only the feet and lower legs are swollen due to an older thrombosis, then the active socks help well due to the pumping effect of the Teveno pad. It is currently not conclusively clarified whether the pumping effect of the Teveno pad, which starts in the inner ankle area, also helps with swollen thighs (due to thrombosis). You should clarify this with your attending physician, who can also contact the medical council of teveno, if he has any questions.

Answer: Yes, the active socks are in principle also suitable for lipo/lymphoedema in the legs. However, it is important to know the cause and extent of the lipo/lymphoedema. In this case, you should therefore ask your doctor before using the active socks. He or she can also contact the medical council of teveno of the active socks, if he or she has any questions.

Answer: In principle, we advise a gradual change in such cases, i.e. you should first switch to a CCL1 class compression stocking and wear this together with the active socks. After a transition phase, you can then wear only the active socks. Such a step-by-step procedure is even more recommended if you are currently wearing compression stockings of higher classes, e.g. CCL 3.
You should always coordinate such a change with your attending physician, who can also contact the medical council of teveno, if he has any queries.

Answer: In principle, yes; it may theoretically be that the pad in certain sports shoes,
which constrict the foot in the area of the ankle, the function may be impaired.

Answer: No, you just have to behave the same way as when you wear normal socks without shoes. When walking on sharp stones without shoes, of course, the heel cushion can be damaged, but that could always lead to sores on the soles of the feet anyway with any sock.
